Internship Opportunity at DGI Foundation

Development Governance International Foundation (DGIF) is a not-for-profit organization supporting states towards achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), improving health governance, and strengthening the capacity of institutions to deliver their mandates. DGI Consult presently implements a Christian Aid-funded project that aims to expand access to nutrition and basic health services for vulnerable and marginalized people in the target communities in Nasarawa State and the FCT through sustainable financing mechanisms.

DGI Foundation seeks an intern that will work under the tutelage of the senior staff to implement the project for 10 months.

Responsibilities  

Working under the guidance of the Program Director, Senior Program Officer and Program Officers, the intern will:

  • Support community-level activities and write draft activity reports.
  • Prepare the draft of knowledge management products, including success stories, policy, advocacy and technical briefs.
  • Prepare draft slide deck for internal and external technical meetings presentations.
  • Anchor in-house and external meetings and produce draft meeting reports.
  • Participate in project events and adequately document proceedings using standard templates.
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the supervising staff.

Person specification

  • First degree with a minimum of second-class upper grade in relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply concepts fast.
  • An excellent team player with demonstrable emotional intelligence.  
  • Excellent oral and writing skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
